Bowie is the most tepid singer ever. I mean sure there were other great ones, but c'mon..Bowie.

Gackt

Inspired by writing the Loligoth article, I have decided to write something commemorating Mana's fellow Malice Mizer (the band) member, Gackt. He has never released his real name or birthday (ahem unless you decide to believe his claim that he is a vampire born on July 4, 1973.) I first encountered this unique figure when I saw a clip of Ai Kago making fun of him for being emo.

Gackt started his career much scarier than he is today. When he was in Malice Mizer he was basically goth; now you can find him singing "romantic ballads." He also now looks far more feminine than he used to.

Let's take a look at some of his lyrics. From his album Vanilla (English Translation):
You're an honest moralist You trace me with your pretty finger I'm a pure terrorist Your thoughts are rising like a revolution

From his "Moon Song," such romantic lines such as:

Yet I will admit it's not the music that made me write this; it's his look, so take a look:

I think I must have missed the turban coming back into style. Now that people are being harassed for wearing them do we all feel the need to have one too? I guess so...though you could hardly say these are being worn for religious reasons. Besides a fervent belief in Milan designers.
